Here’s something for everyone. I’m hosting a Writing Challenge for myself and anyone interested.
1000 words a day for ninety days.
The goal is to complete the rough draft of a 80k fiction novel. Obviously, I’ve added in some “fudge” days. There are 10 days you can use to goof off, get sick or just play hookie
What to do until April 1?
Make a rough draft of the five to eight major turning points/ plot points of your novel.
Work on Character Development/Character Arcs. *Know what your character wants and why.
Fast draft outlines of 7-20 scenes you can’t wait to write. (Target the turning points. These will get you unstuck when the going gets tough.)
When April 1 arrives, I’ll post here each day. Anyone who’d like the added accountability is welcome to post as well in the comments section.
